About Me
I'm Carly - a mother, homemaker, and new-skills-seeker. My husband, our four wonderful children, and I recently decided to sell our wonderful home and travel cross-country to decide where to have our next adventure. We have the desire for rural living including establishing a hobby farm and learning new skills. I am interested in trying a myriad of different things from raising goats to keeping bees and I hope to share my experiences with you in an open and honest way!
Joe and I have been married 13 years, long enough that we have to do the math when people ask us, and it has been an amazing adventure filled with wonderful moments, trying times, and new experiences, all while being able to call your partner in life your best friend!
A little more about me. I love to cook, bake, try new recipes, learn new skills, garden, and I can create most anything if it can be done with a glue-gun. I love goats and am fascinated with bees and I find great enjoyment in knowing how things are made. I am not great at a lot of crafts, but I am hoping to improve. I am an advocate of being upfront and real with people. If I review a product it is going to be honest, if I post a photo it is going to be unfiltered (except for B&W photos...I love them), and besides the typical family photo shoot nothing is staged and believe me...you will know it!
Joe is techie and the most kind man I have ever met! He loves Apple products, Dodge vehicles, and helping other people. He will do just about anything for anyone, especially his family!
Our oldest son, M (the one in the straw hat), is 11 years old and he is our family protector, he always wants to make sure everyone is safe and he is becoming more of an adult every day...stop it!
Our next oldest is E. He is the one in the plaid shirt, 9 years old, and I will tell you what, he is more of an adult than I am! He is responsible...seriously...this kids wakes himself up in the morning, has his homework done, worries about being late...this kid knows how to adult! Even though he can adult like it is no one's business, he knows how to be the goofiest guy that you have ever met!
Next up is G and she is 7 years old, little cutie in the maroon pants. G is the sweetest little girl and the best biggest sister to our other daughter. G loves to dance, use her imagination, be silly, and she is an excellent helper! She loves to help me bake, cook, fold laundry, plant, and even do dishes...I wish I could just have her do them on her own!
Finally we have R, the sunshine of the family. I had R after having a miscarriage and I can tell you what, they really are rainbow babies. She is 4 years old and besides being a typical 4 year old, brings joy to every member of our family. She loves to listen to music, dance, bend around (this girl is honestly the most flexible person I have every met), and play and explore with G,
Our family is the most important thing in the world to us and we each cherish each other immensely. More to come about us in our blog.
